Winter Break will start on December 23rd so no practices on Friday. Practices and Games will start on Tuesday, January 3rd.

There are no Recreation practices or games on February vacation for Recreation.

Travel Teams will have games on Sundays and practices on those Saturdays. Please see your coach for scheduling.

Cancelations will be sent from the league event manager. We'll also try to post any major snow events. If anyone has concerns on driving in inclement weather then let your coach know that you can not attend the game.

The Last week of Recreational basketball is March 4th. Late February and March games will be scheduled once we know the gym availability.

Travel teams have playoffs starting the first week of March and will continue until they lose their first game.

1st & 2nd Grade levels play once a week during the week in a Practice/Game for 1 hour. All other grades will play on Saturdays and will have one practice on Sundays.

Registration will close in the next week for the Winter Basketball Season.  Late Fees apply after that time and best efforts for getting a player on a recreational team. Any player that needs to register will need to contact the Registrar by

The Registration Link can be found on our website listed below. Our website will be a valuable source of information for anyone interested in our program.

New Parents will need to set your family’s profile and assign a password to the account. Once set up, just follow the steps for the registration – see below for details. Registration fees vary depending on grade. See below for more details.

Key Items to Note:

  • Winter Recreation Basketball will start the week of November 28th.

  • Travel Tryouts start Monday, October 3rd and will go for 2 to 3 weeks. There are 2 mandatory tryouts per grade level. Travel practices start at end of October. Registration is separate from the Recreational. Both registrations are required; however, you can opt out of Recreational.

  • New Fee Schedule:

    • Winter Recreation will be $60 (1st & 2nd) or $110 (3rd to 8th grade).

    • Travel only will be $225, once the player makes the team.

    • If a Player plays both Recreation and Travel then a $50 discount will be credited to their account so the total for both Rec & Travel is $285.

    • NYBA Board volunteers continue to subsidize all fees by planning clinics, events, and having sponsors. We will review fees annually.

    • The NYBA highly recommends that travel players play Recreation, but it is optional.

  • Sponsorship Packages are available – see web site for details on different packages.
